I have used Chapmans for a few years now to manage my property. After managing it myself for many years, as an accidental landlord, I was reluctant to hand over control. I took great pride in the relationships I built with tenants and I wanted them to have quality care which I wasn’t sure an agent could provide.

Laura, the owner, put us at ease and assured us she was committed to providing the best service for landlords and tenants. I have never been disappointed and with tenants staying a number of years, I believe they are also happy. We have recently had Olivia take over managing our property and the change over of tenants. We have had lots to manage with wear and tear, storm damage and upgrading the property, all of which Olivia has managed to a high standard.

I imagine it is not easy to manage the needs of tenants and landlords, however, Chapmans appear to handle it perfectly.

My only regret is not switching over years ago!

Where to begin.

The company is run by professional and extremely friendly people. The process they take you through from deposit to moving in is simple and well thought out. Prior to moving in a 45-minute video takes you through the lease in great detail and leaves you feeling very comfortable about everything. The agents also send you emails with videos containing helpful tips to speed up the process.

Finding a flat in Edinburgh is really difficult, but having good customer service and a respectful process for the tenancy candidates is really helpful. I decided not to go ahead with the application, but Luke Tait, the agent, was very helpful and attentive, through e-mail and in the virtual viewing.

Rented with Chapmans for two years and found them to be great at dealing with issues and they communicated well. My rent was reasonable and the flat was great. Eve and Olivia were very professional, friendly and prompt with everything. I got my full deposit back no problem. Laura’s videos were helpful.

This is the first time I have used Chapman’s – they found a tenant for my flat. Their approach was very thorough and they used their systems to great effect when dealing with a lot of applicants.
