If and when you decide it is time to move out of your rented accommodation, under the terms of your lease you are required to give us at the relevant notice period as specified in your lease in writing – please note that this is different depending on whether you signed up to a Short Assured Tenancy (i.e. your lease started before 1st December 2017) or a Scottish Private Residential Tenancy (i.e. your lease started on or after 1 December 2017). Wherever possible, we would thoroughly appreciate more advance warning.
In order to make your move easier and more streamlined, we have created a Move Out Checklist. So that you aren’t rushing to tick all the boxes towards the end of your tenancy, we suggest you try and make a start on this as early as possible. We will arrange to meet you on the day you move out to go through your move-in inventory with you. We will also aim to resolve any issues at this time so your deposit can be returned to you as quickly as possible. Please note though that the physical return of your deposit lies in the hands of the relevant Tenancy Deposit Scheme – we do not hold on to your deposit during the term of your tenancy.
