Rebecca’s background to the Letting Industry couldn’t really be more ideal. She grew up in Germany where her mother ran her own property management company from home and is still going strong 25 years later! She is therefore well accustomed to a busy work environment where the tenant-landlord-property relationship requires careful management and balance. She is now entering her 5th year in Edinburgh and has a love for the city and architecture that keeps driving her passion for property.

Although the legislation is slightly different in Germany, Rebecca has gained vital exposure to many aspects of lettings such as inspections, visits and tenant interaction whilst assisting her mother every holiday while growing up.

More recently, Rebecca had been working within a larger Letting Agency that had a more centralised approach. However, she was keen to gain a more varied and wide-ranging role which we could offer her at Chapmans. What she enjoys the most is the opportunity of working with a smaller portfolio size because ultimately this means she has the time to deliver the high levels of customer service that we strive to achieve here at Chapmans.

Areas of Expertise:

• Credit referencing and checking

• Lease documentation and signing

• Inspections

• Coordinating repairs and maintenance

• Managing the tenant relationship with the aim of marrying the client’s interests and needs with the tenant’s profile and needs

Rebecca is highly motivated, pragmatic and very organised. Coupled with her excellent communication skills and previous lettings experience she is a fantastic asset to the team.

On a personal note…

My Favourite Place in Edinburgh – on top of Arthur’s Seat on a sunny day – ideally when it’s very windy!

Favourite Holiday – Road trip with my father one summer in his van with his motorbike in the back. We travelled two weeks through the south of Europe…six countries in total stopping at every place we passed that caught our attention!!

Favourite Food – Kind of everything. There are only a handful of things that I don’t like – pineapple, giblets or coriander – and I try to at least try everything once.

Favourite things to do in my spare time – I love to travel – ideally spontaneously – around Europe either on my own or in company and to eat out with my friends, who sometimes are even more crazy about food than I am! I also love a trip to the cinema when the weather is bad (so I own an unlimited cinema card!!)
