MC Galletta

Business Development & Lead Property Manager

MC comes to Chapmans with a wealth of Letting sector experience having worked in a few large and well-known Edinburgh agencies, having held roles covering every element of the Lettings journey throughout her career.

From investment property sourcing and appraising, project management of refurbishments, HMO licensing applications, tenancy management and high-level strategic planning, MC can do it all.

It was Chapmans’ excellent reputation and forward-thinking approach that attracted MC to the role of Business Development Manager, where she plays an integral part in helping us continue to grow and expand in terms of client numbers but also our product offering.  Her role is focussed on attracting and retaining new business and bringing her valuable experience of larger agency set ups with her.

MC takes the lead (along with Corinne) on managing a small rental property portfolio in line with Chapmans’ high standards, as well as providing advice surrounding investment properties and HMOs. This includes providing comprehensive and clear plans for renovation projects along with managing the project in full, when required.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Business development and growth through networking, communication, relationship building and brand visibility
  • Investment property advice & coordination
  • Property sourcing
  • Renovation project management
  • HMO appraisals, licensing and compliance
  • Managing the Tenant relationship with the aim of marrying the client’s interests and needs with the Tenant’s profile and needs

MC also holds the industry standard LETWELL certification: the professional development programme delivered via a partnership between Landlord Accreditation Scotland (LAS) and the CIH Housing Academy. This accreditation was formed specifically for Scottish letting professionals and takes full account of the Scottish Government’s regulation of letting agents and associated training requirements for specific staff within agencies.

Driven, knowledgeable, confident and a great communicator we are excited and delighted to have MC join our expanding team, where her work ethos, client service skills and values very much match our own.

On a personal note…

My Favourite Place in Edinburgh – The view from Arthur’s Seat is a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike but there is just so many great places it’s difficult to choose from; the walkways and canals, the view from the castle and the sunsets on the firth of forth when it lights up The Shore– we’re absolutely spoiled for choice!

Favourite Holiday – Take me to Italy and I’m the happiest! Sardinia was always a dream location and it totally delivered. Milan and Florence are incredible too.

Favourite Food – Anything bursting with flavour, too hard to pick one!

Favourite Book or Film – The series ‘When They See Us’ is one of the most important and powerful pieces of film I can remember. An absolute must-see, expect lots of tears!

Favourite things to do in my spare time – I cannot wait to get back to seeing some live music, going to restaurants and having some drinks with friends in the pub.
